According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, most cats and small dogs are considered seniors at age 7; larger dogs are considered seniors at age 5 or 6 years old. Most people are not prepared for what to expect when their pet ages. In fact, more than 6.5 million pets are abandoned to shelters each year and 1.5 million pets are euthanized each year; many of which are elderly pets that pet owners were not prepared to care for. We provide information and education about the care and treatment of senior pets and our goal is to provide free pet insurance to at-risk senior pets in an effort to keep them together with their families for as long as possible.
